"Baksan Elementary School and Day Care" is a very poor school, situated in the mountains in Guadalupe near Cebu City.
In the year to come, the 560 students will once a week recieve a warm meal. The food will be prepared by their parents. The porridge will be made with great consideration to nutritional benefits.
The meal will have a great impact for the children. It is known that malnurishment results in poor concentration or that the children simply stay home due to stomach aches. One guaranteed weekly meal will help the children keep their weight and will motivate the parents to support their education.
