In recent years we’ve have had great success with our Christmas campaign.
The concept is familiar to most: Buy a Christmas gift to those you love. - We send you a gift certificate and the entire amount will be passed on to the Philippines.
Previously we send money from the christmas campaign for teaching materials to a school in Cebu City, and we’ve supported poor families from a remote province.
This Christmas, you have the opportunity to give a Christmas gift to poor children at a Day Care Center in Cebu City, opened by our Philippine partners "Rise Above Foundation.
The collected funds go directly to purchasing materials for the Day Care Center; - books, toys, games, etc. Such a gift will undoubtedly give smiles and joy - and help to stimulate children in an otherwise hard life.
Many parents in Cebu have no job because they have to take care of their children at home. In this new center, children can stay for free, and it gives parents the opportunity to get a job and thereby earn money to feed the family.
Eventually it will mean that the family's standard of living increases. Once the funds are found, Rise Above Foundation expect to expand the center.
The center is already a great success and many children are already queuing to enter the center.
